Hailing from Finca Los Cedros, a high-altitude coffee farm near the village of Ebéjico, Antioquia, this coffee is the result of years of experimentation by producer Juan David Builes. Juan David is passionate about innovating the coffee growing traditions of his ancestors for a new generation of coffee producers in Colombia. He hosts contests and classes to help his peers improve their coffee quality and thus preserve Colombian coffee culture, one of our core missions at Encantado Coffee.
Juan David processes this coffee by first removing the coffee cherry while still leaving some of the cherry pulp around the bean, which is then converted by naturally occurring bacteria into lactic acid, imparting a bright, fruity sweetness to the coffee beans. It is a unique yet approachable coffee, perfect for any appreciative coffee lover!
